More Info on Swazi Culture & Scenery Trail
Two nights in en-suite beehive accommodation in Eswatini’s most popular wildlife sanctuary, Mlilwane, allows for a full day of riding amongst wildlife. The chances of riding amongst and getting good photographs of zebra, wildebeest, kudu, nyala and roan antelope are high.
On day 3, you will ride out on the 5-day circular trail, riding through Mlilwane, commercial forest, rural community lands and into the wild mountains of Mlilwane North with views right across Eswatini to Mozambique and South Africa. Accommodation is part of the diversity with one night camping in a tranquil valley along the banks of the Usushwana River, one comfortable night at the Infamous Foresters Arms Hotel and two nights camping at the elevated EmaSomini Camp. On the final day we return to Mlilwane’s Rest Camp for a well deserved shower and quick lunch before transfering to Hlane Royal National Park for the beginning of a 3-night vehicle-based safari.
Hlane offers lion, white rhino, elephant, giraffe, hippo and much more. After lunch, the group transfers to Mkhaya Game Reserve, where both vehicle and walking safaris offer the opportunity to reveal the elusive black rhino. Mkhaya’s unique accommodation certainly emerses guests in nature, with rhino experiences among the best offered anywhere. Birding on all parks is amazing.
