Eswatini Artisan Tour – Artisan workshops, culture & conservation!

All Out Africa, have relaunched their experiential tour focusing on Eswatini’s creative compass, whilst taking in the country’s cultural and wildlife highlights.

Eswatini is widely known for its high quality arts & crafts, with local artisans producing a variety of items of international renown. Now is your chance to learn more about the processes and the people – and to get creative yourself!

This unique Artisan Tour was originally set up two years ago but wasn’t able to go ahead. Now that tourists have begun travelling again it’s back on!

With prices starting at just over ZAR30,000 pp, this is an amazing opportunity to join an intimate 9-day tour, the first departure taking place from Monday 26 September 2022 – Tuesday 4 October 2022, with another planned for Sept/Oct 2023.

Learn from talented artisans and experience the unique culture and majestic nature of Eswatini. This fully guided tour includes world class design and artisan workshops with Baobab Batik and Tsandza Weaving, and a unique opportunity for close up encounters with rhino at Mkhaya Game Reserve.

This tour aims to promote responsible tourism, social impact and economic empowerment. Working alongside talented artisans, you will learn firsthand how handcraft and design contributes to social upliftment within Eswatini, the history and culture of Africa’s last remaining monarchy, and how Eswatini has earned the recognition of being one of the world’s top destinations for rhino conservation.

For the majority of your tour you will be staying in the Malandela’s Guest House. Renowned for it’s uniquely decorated rooms set amongst magnificent indigenous gardens, the guest house forms part of the Malandela’s centre, home to a Farmhouse Restaurant and Country Pub, the iconic House On Fire, along with beautiful boutiques offering locally made products such as Gone rural, Zoggs and Khokho.
