Eswatini Air is pleased to announce that their planned operating schedule, fares and notice of reservations systems is going live. This marks and brings to an end of the long wait for the commencement date of Eswatini Air flights and heralds a new chapter in the country’s travel and tourism with access set to be at a level never seen before.
As a brand-new operation Eswatini Air is taking a cautious approach to ensure a smooth entry in the market. They are therefore introducing their service in four phases as follows:
Phase I: Launch King Mswati III International (SHO) to Johannesburg (JNB) flights, operating two flights per day (an early morning rotation and a late afternoon rotation) effective 26th March 2023.
The morning rotation departs from SHO at 07:00 to arrive in JNB at 07:45. The return flight departs JNB at 08:45 arriving at SHO at 09:35.
The second rotation departs SHO at 16:05 arriving in JNB at 16:55, with the return leg departing from JNB at 17:40 arriving at SHO at 18:30.
Phase II: Harare (HRE) will be added to the schedule effective 14 April 2023, offering four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. All flights will depart SHO at 10:15 and arrive at 11:45. Departure from HRE is 14:00 to arrive at SHO at 15:30.
Phase III: Durban (DUR) will be added to the schedule effective 5 May 2023, offering a flight each day of the week. The flight will depart SHO at 17:30 to arrive in DUR at 18:30, while the return flight will depart DUR at 07:55 to arrive at SHO at 08:55.
Phase III also includes introduction of a 3rd daily flight between SHO and JNB to be operated in the afternoon. Timings for this flight are such that departure from SHO is 11:30 arriving at JNB at 12:20, and departure from JNB is 14:10 arriving at SHO 15:00.
Phase IV: This is the final launch phase and entails addition of Cape Town to the route network effective 2nd June 2023. Cape Town will be operated 3 times per week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Departure time from SHO will be 10:20 arriving at CPT at 12:50
The return flight will depart CPT at 13:40 and arrive at SHO at 16:10.

Eswatini Air wish to invite all prospective clients to book and fly with the airline for all their travels in and out of the Kingdom. Their resolution, as expressed in their “Everyone Must Fly” slogan, is to ensure that travel by air inbound and outbound Eswatini is affordable to all.
Hence, launch special fares are on offer for one-way flights inclusive of taxes ranging from:
- SZL 1,300.00 on flights between Eswatini and Johannesburg or Durban,
- SZL 2,100.00 on flights between Eswatini and Cape Town, and
- SZL 2,200.00 on flights between Eswatini and Harare.
The schedule is designed to also offer connections via their hub, King Mswati III International Airport for travellers between Durban and Harare as well as between Johannesburg and Harare.
